Terms of Service
The terms that govern your access to and use of the transglot website and platform.
Last updated: July 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of transglot’s website and localization platform (the "Service"), operated by transglot ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Accounts and organizations
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Organizations may invite members and assign roles (owner, admin, developer, translator); each role governs what actions a member can take within a project.
3. Plans and billing
We offer the following plans: Free ($0/mo), Indie ($12/mo), Team ($49/mo), and Business ($199/mo), each with its own word, seat, and project limits as described on our Pricing page. Some plans support optional usage-based overage billing with a spend cap, and promo codes may apply discounted pricing for a limited time.
Paid plan changes and cancellations take effect according to the billing terms presented at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we expressly state.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to store or translate content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to circumvent quota limits, rate limits, or access controls.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or provide unauthorized third-party access to the Service.
- Use the REST API or webhooks in a manner that disrupts or overburdens our infrastructure.
- Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the file-import pipeline.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the translation keys, source strings, and translated content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service, including sending strings to our AI provider to generate translations you request.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit Your Content and that doing so does not violate any third party’s rights.
6. AI translation output
AI-generated translations are provided as a drafting aid. While our pipeline is designed to preserve placeholders and tokens, AI output may contain errors and should be reviewed before use in production, especially for legal, medical, or safety-critical content. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated translations.
7. API and webhooks
If you generate a project access token to use the REST API, you are responsible for keeping it confidential and for all activity performed with it. Access tokens are scoped (push, pull, manage) and may have an expiry you configure. API usage is rate-limited; we may throttle or suspend access that we determine, in good faith, threatens the stability of the Service.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by transglot and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that we determine, in good faith, harms the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, subject to applicable data-retention and export obligations.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, transglot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which transglot is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
